ROTHERY, STEVE.

25-11-59, Yorkshire, G.B.. Guitar in Marillion. Session for "daughter" Arena, with the founder and ex-drummer of Marillion; Mick Pointer and multi-instrumentalist Clive Nolan. Together with Pete Trewaras and Hannah Stobart in The Wishing Tree ('97). See below.

In 2003 there's time to form a new hobby-band; STRANGER BY THE MINUTE:

Steve Rothery - Guitar,
Pete Trewavas - Bass,
Phil Beaumont - Drums, (worked with the them on the Made agian album + tour and he worked with Francis Dunnery ('03)),
Matt Prior - Guitar, (ex-Bonnie Tyler),
Paul Sturman - Vocals,
John Williams - Keyboards,
Charlotte Evans - Vocals, (she worked with Marillion as engineer),
Carly Jackson - Vocals.

The music of the Stranger by the Minute band can be described as "The Commitments meets ZZ Top and you'd be halfway there", according to Rothery.

He has worked and produced with such artists as:

Enchant,
John Wesley,
Jadis (producer),
Arrakeen
Mr. So and So.
SHAKARY ('06)(with Arjen Lucassen).
In 2007 he plays guitar one one "Within Cold Glass" of the Reasoning.
Album "Awakening".
And in 2008 he joins stage with them on several occasions.

Edisons children (Pete Trewavas)(2012).

 

Steve has released a new album from the Wishing Tree with Hannah Stobart.

And the album is called "Ostara". Released March 2008.

The Wishing Tree could be seen at the Dutch Marillion Convention 2009.
And i must say their set was nice smooth and impressive. Was fun to see that the old laddies; Mr Rothery and Trewaras were joined by some younger lads and gals.
