WhoIsWho
HOGARTH, STEVE.
14 May 1959. Vocals in Europeans and How we live and after that he found a new job; vocals and keyboards in Marillion. And oh the boy hadn't it easy to replace the big Fish ('89).
Ice Cream Genius ('96) is a solo-project of this singer and not a bad effort:
Richard Barbieri - synthesisers, (from Japan and solo with for example Steve Janssen and of course in Porcupine Tree),
Dave Gregory - guitars (XTC),
Clem Burke - drums (ex-Blondie),
Chucho Merchant - bass (Eurytmics, Pete Townshend and David Gilmour live 22 June 2001),
Luis Jardim - percussion (played with everyone),
Steve Jansen - percussion (ex-Japan),
and a few guys more.
The H live album Live Spirit/Live Body was released on August 8th, after a number of delays. The first 2000 copies of the album have been packaged in a silky matt black cardboard slipcase.
He'll do some gigs in 2002.The band is the same as at last year's concerts, and as featured on the SpiritBody live album, that is:
Steve Hogarth (Vocals, Keyboards),
Richard Barbieri (Synthesizers),
Andy Gangadeen (Drums),
Dave Gregory (Guitar),
Aziz Ibrahim (Guitar), Jingles (Bass),
Dablir Singh (Tablas) &
Stephanie Sobey-Jones (Cello).
See a review by DPRP!. An album with a few covers from Peter Gabriel, 10CC, Paul McCartney, Jethro Tull, Elvis Costello of course Marillion and Pink Floyd (See Emily Play); fun!.
He'll do some gigs in 2003 with this impressive line-up:
Drums - Andy Gangadeen (The Bays, Massive Attack),
Bass - Pete Trewavas,
Guitar - Dave Gregory (XTC),
Guitar - Aziz Ibrahim (Stone Roses, Ian Brown),
Synthesizers -Richard Barbieri (Japan,
